Seneca

Lucius Annaeus Seneca (c. 4 BC – 65 AD), known as Seneca the Younger, was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, and dramatist. As an advisor to Emperor Nero, he lived a life close to power, but his writings emphasize simplicity, virtue, resilience, and the fleeting nature of time. His works, especially his letters and essays, have had a lasting influence on Western thought, particularly within Stoic philosophy.
